longingfreesia: (Happy Smiles)
I just want to say a big thank you again to everyone who attended our wedding at the beginning of the month. It was lovely for us to experience the moment with our friends and family.

We've just come back from spending the last two weeks on our honeymoon in the 12 dimensions.
We spent time in Naturia Forest, staying in a lovely guest treehouse that you could probably only dream of having as a kid. We got to explore the area (that Yuma loved doing!) and meet the locals and creatures that live there.

We then went to Okeanos which was made up of so many chains of islands, with beaches and underwater cities. There was so much to see and explore there, but also plenty of chances to relax too.

Then we spent the last three days of the trip staying in a luxury hotel in Hyperborea's capital city. We couldn't really go outside it on risk of the elements freezing us because of how cold the planet is, but the hotel was absolutely lovely and had plenty to offer.

It was a wonderful two weeks and it was great to spend the time together, just the two of us.

So Yuma and I are finally getting married in the spring of this year!

It's actually been organised for a while now, and we sent out invitations a bit back, but I've been a bit too busy with organising it, plus running my business, to remember to post about it here.

We ended up picking a place in Heartland for the event. It has a nice, large, outdoor patio area we'll be using, but it's covered by a roof so hopefully weather won't be an issue. I've also been working closely with the venue, and with Yuya, for organising the reception party.

It's really been a lot more work than I was expecting, and a lot more expensive than I thought, but even with some of the setbacks we've had, we're finally almost there!

Planning a wedding is a lot harder than you'd like to think. It was wishful thinking I'd have it all organised for this year.

I'm currently trying to figure out a venue for it, since you kinda have to book them way in advance. I'd like to aim for the wedding to take place in the spring of next year so I'd really have to book a place soon. I really loved the photos that Yuzu and Yuya got of the wedding they went to a bit back. I love the idea of an outdoor wedding with tents and pavilions and all that, but I'd have to find the right kind of place for it.

Oh! Also, Yuya, I'd like to ask you something, if that's okay?

With Yuma now having a second job and my small fashion designing business gaining good traction again, I feel like we can finally start saving for and planning the wedding now. We won't really have enough to do anything big, and a big event would mean more stress anyway, so we're hoping to put together at least a little ceremony and reception, joined by our close family and friends.

I've decided I'll be making my own wedding dress and I may have already started drawing up designs for it. Making one, instead of buying one, will probably be a lot cheaper, but also a lot more special.
We're looking at aiming to have the wedding take place sometime next year, but it's very early days yet.

In the meantime, I've got a lot of orders coming in from clients who want cutewear for the winter, so I've been busy concentrating on those recently!
