Event

*Since the holidays got in the way, this is a general event post for characters to meet and speak with Kotori.
Events can take place at any point during the two-week holiday (other than the weekend that came between them). Scenes can be discussed with me prior, or you can just choose the scene yourself if you have one in mind! Events can take place on Duel Academy Island, or in Domino City!

Please state whether the event takes place during Christmas week or New Years week.
Also feel free to state whether you'd like Yuma to be around or whether you'd rather me have him temporarily busy/distracted with something so your character can speak with Kotori without too much interruption from him.

Ah!

*Yuma greets Shinji with a nod, then curiously looks at the cards he's holding.*

What cards are you looking at?

Oh, um. Cards that I might be making my deck from. They're called "Summoner" and "Empowered" monsters. *he shows them off, a couple of them being mainly a red-haired young woman with an imposed armored being behind her and a card featuring the armored being from the previous card.*

They're multi-attribute cards, kinda interesting. I hope I can manage to make them work.

*Yuma grins at him.*

I'm sure you can make them work somehow!!

And I think she's one of the nicer designed ones of the set, yes, though the others have a similar theme. They're based off of the "Four Symbols of Chinese Constellations".

Yes, with a yellow dragon as the center. *he shows the the summoner and the dragon itself as an example.*

Of course, there's even more to things like Chinese Constellations, but this is the basic example of them and how these cards are based off of it.

It tends to be fairly common. I know there's cards based off of other Chinese mythology, like the Yang Zing archetype.

Do you have a deck you like to run, miss Kotori?

*Yuma glances at her, looking hilariously disgruntled at her last remark.*

O-Oi!! I didn't make that many mistakes!!
Besides, you said I'd gotten much better!

*Kotori is giggling at him. She was obviously teasing him and knew she'd get that reaction.*

*he's smiling amused at that*

Well, even if you don't like dueling, collecting is pretty fun too, I think. Especially if you like specific designs and the sort.

I have a pretty big collection, but I like all of the cards I have. It actually gets to be kinda hard to give enough focus to all of the possibilities.

Everyone has their tastes. There's no problem with liking cards like that, even just for collecting, since they made such a wide variety of style differences.

*Yuma grins at her.*

Well, I have a load of spares from boosters that I keep in a box in my dorm room! Most I'm not gonna use so maybe I'll bring them tomorrow and you can pick out the ones you like!
It's the best way to start a collection!

I agree. It's always good to have a spot to start at, and getting cards from good friends helps, too.

I'm sure they'll be plenty that you'll like!

Heh, maybe you'll end up finding a set of cards you really like. Even if it's just aesthetic.

There is definitely a sense of satisfaction from it. It's nice, especially when they come out with new ones that go with them, too.
