Yuma shouldn't have to go through things like this.
He shouldn't have to be dealing with things like powers and demons that want to kill him and he shouldn't have the fate of the entire world on his shoulders either!
I wish I could be there for him, but I'm here in Heartland miles apart from him.
I love him so much. I don't want him to have to go through this anymore.
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
Weelll... let's say that I can now say I've travelled by grim reaper.
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
*'By Grim Reaper...'? Yuma thought for a moment, but it didn't take long for him to click on what, or more who, she meant.*
Akae... brought you here?
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
*Kotori smiles in reply and nods.*
Yes, she did.
Because I really wanted to see you.
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
With that, a calm, sincere smile appeared on Yuma's face, replacing the surprise, as he throws his arms around Kotori, pulling her into a hug.*
I really wanted to see you too.
*The two stood there for a moment in silence, simply enjoying their embrace with each other.*
How long are you here for?
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
*Kotori pulled back so she could look up at him.*
I can stay for a few hours or so.
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
*Smiling, Yuma broke the hug fully and took a hold of her hand.*
That's great!! Then maybe we can go take a walk or something together!
Oh! *Yuma's smile grew into a large grin.* Actually, there's a real nice place here I haven't shown you yet! Let's go there!!
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
A place you haven't shown me yet?
Okay then, let's go there.
*With Yuma leading the way, the two of them walked hand-in-hand around the island. While they did, Kotori couldn't help but admire and make the most of the wonderful island weather. The weather back on the mainland had already started to turn a little colder as autumn approached, but here, the weather was still warm and pleasant.
As they walked down the main path, Kotori wondered where Yuma was taking her. It looked like they were heading for the beach, but once they were near to it Yuma, instead, took her into the nearby woods. She wasn't really in the best attire for going for an adventure in woodland, but she didn't mind, because she could see that Yuma was excited to show her whatever place he was taking her to.*
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
*After a while, they both began approaching an area where there was a lot of light filtering in through the trees which suggested there was some kind of clearing in the forest ahead. As they approached it, Kotori could hear the sound of rushing water. A waterfall?
Before they got to the edge of the trees, Yuma stopped walking and looked back at Kotori.*
This is it!! Ready?
*When Kotori nodded to him, Yuma slowly lead her through the remaining trees.*
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
*Kotori gasped and a huge amazed smile appeared on her face as they both walked into a beautiful clearing, that did, indeed, have a waterfall that lead into a fairly large calm stream. Across the stream, around the trees, there were a ton of wildflowers growing.*
It's so beautiful...!
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
I found this place ages ago one one of my explorations of the island! Not a lot of people come here since it's so out of the way!
Come on...!!
*With that, Yuma eagerly moved forward, almost pulling Kotori along with him as they headed down to the stream to where there were a number of large rocks that lead across it. Letting go of Kotori's hand, Yuma jumped onto the first one, then held out his hand to offer Kotori help in getting across.*
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
E-eh?! Across there? What if we fall in?
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
We won't fall in! C'mon!
*Kotori looked suspiciously at Yuma, not fully believing that they wouldn't fall in, but she took his hand and allowed him to help her across to the rock he was on.*
See? Easy!!
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
*One by one, Kotori crossed the rocks with Yuma's help. They'd gotten to the middle when Kotori jumped onto the next rock, but as she did, her foot slipped on some water on it. Frantically, she grabbed hold of Yuma to try and stop herself from falling, but that only caused Yuma to lose his balance and fall down with her.
SPLASH!!
Both of them hit the water.
Thankfully, the water wasn't too deep, but they were both sat waist deep in it. Slowly, Kotori moved some of her now wet hair out of her face and frowned at Yuma.*
Yuma! You said we wouldn't fall in!!
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
I probably should of added a 'maybe' onto that!
Besides, you're the one who fell!! I'm not totally to blame!
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
*Kotori huffed in annoyance, but then, gradually, an idea came to her.
With a mischievous look on her face, she quickly moved her hand and splashed water into Yuma's face, catching him by surprise.*
That's what you get for making me cross those rocks.
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
*With that, Yuma moved both his hands in the water making a large splash at her, which hit her directly in the face.
Laughing, Yuma stood up and attempted to run off.
Or more wade off through the water.*
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
Get back here, Yuma!!
*Kotori got up and chased after him, trying to splash him back. This resulted in the both of them chasing each other around in the water, trying to frantically splash each other.
This reminded Kotori a lot of the times they used to spend at the Duel Lodge that was located just outside Heartland City. They used to go up there every now and then when Yuma had to run errands for his grandmother, whose friend owned the duel lodge. They'd spend hours just exploring the surrounding forest and playing in the water of a nearby pond, just like this.
After seeing Yuma so depressed over the issue with the demons, she was glad to see a smile back on his face. The same smile as he'd wear back when they were younger. The smile she absolutely loved to see on him.*
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
I really don't know how I'll explain why I'm soaking wet to my mom when I go home later.
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
I guess so.
*As she finished ringing the rest of the water out of her hair, she looked over at Yuma and the beaming smile he was now wearing on his face.
She really didn't want to break that, but there was also something she wanted to discuss with him, which she wanted to do while they were together.*
Hey Yuma... there's something I wanted to talk to you about.
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
*Yuma looked over at her curiously, noticing the more concerned expression on her face.*
Something you wanted to talk about?
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
*Kotori nodded slowly to him.*
I talked a little to Alexandra on the network the other day and... I think it made me realize something.
At first I thought she was trying to insult me, but I quickly realized that wasn't the case, and that she was trying to help me.
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
Help you? With what?
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
I was so upset at what was happening with you, I was questioning why you had to go through it.
But she firmly told me to get used to it. To get used to you being in danger.
And I realized that I hadn't really considered that the power you now have will probably be a part of you for the rest of your life and that the responsibility and resulting dangers would be too.
She made me realize that I shouldn't be asking 'why' this happened to you. Instead, I should be seeking out ways to continue to help and support you.
*With that she looked over to him.*
Yuma. This power you have is amazing, and I know you're going to help so many people with it, because that's the type of person you are. But this is going to bring a lot of dangerous situations to you that will be difficult for you. This power is a part of your life now, but it's also a part of mine and I need to make sure I'm able to deal with what's to come.
But I need to be more than just emotionally strong for you.
Re: Event with Myself (Again!)
When you come to visit Heartland during the winter holidays, I want you to teach me everything you can about dueling.
