*As the Wonder Quartet is taking place over parts of the city on the final day of the Duel Festival, Kotori has found herself at Mr. Heartland's office after he asked her to see her.
Knocking on the door beforehand to signal her arrival, she opens the door to his office when told to enter and slowly walks in.*

You asked to see me...?

*Kotori is quiet for a moment, letting his reply sink in, before taking a deep breath in an effort to calm down, though she felt completely emotionally shot from this.
Wiping away the tears that were forming in her eyes, she let out the breath.*

I'm sorry. For reacting the way I did, but, this...
... it's a lot to take in.

*She briefly looks over at the screen again, just for a small moment, before looking away. She moves her arms around herself.*

I... I have to go. I need to think about this for a bit.

*With that, she begins to walk slowly towards the door.*

::Presses a silent button.::

::Guards shuffle in, very tall types, very broad shoulders, very humorless.::

*Kotori lets out a gasp as she steps back from the large guards. She then looks back towards Heartland.*

Why aren't you letting me leave. You have no right to keep me here!

Since I am your father and sole surviving relative, my dear, and you being a minor in the eyes of the law, I have every right.

Even if you are my father, you can't just come into my life and expect me to accept you as part of my family straight away and you certainly can't order me around like I'm some sort of small child!
I barely know you!

Right now, the Tsukumo's are more my family than you are. I've known them since I was four, they've always treated me like I was a part of their family and they've always been there for me and my mom.

Family isn't just about blood. It's also about who you trust and that's something you have to earn.

*With that, she allows her fear and frustration to create a number of butterflies around her which quickly fill up the room and rush around. Maybe if they confuse everyone, maybe if these butterflies shield her from view, she might find an opening, just a little opening to get out!*

::One of the guards grabs you, and shoves you back into the room, Kotori.::

::Shows off the heart shaped Duel Disk on his arm.::

Beat me in a Duel and I'll consent. Prove to me you are strong enough to fight in the field on your own.

*The butterflies stop rushing around and just hang in the air around them all as Kotori looks towards him.
She then pulls out her duel disk from her bag and places it on her arm.*

Very well! If I have to prove it to you, then I will!

::Presses a button on his Disk as he's enveloped in light.::

*Kotori shields her eyes from the light a little bit as this happens. What exactly is he doing...?*

::The light collapses and Mr. Heartland is in a horribly garish yellow outfit, tophat, and heart themed cane.::

It's time for HEART BURNING!

*Kotori finds herself wondering if that kind of weird magical change was even necessary (And how she was apparently related to someone like this), but she needed to focus on what she needed to do, so she quickly activates her duel disk.*
